One of the lesser known lease types in the FAMU area is the periodic lease. A periodic lease is also known as a month-to-month lease. The reasoning behind this involves the fact that with a periodic lease you don't have to agree to remain tenancy in your FAMU apartment for any significant amount of time. While you don't have to make any long term commitment, neither does your landlord. Meaning your rent can fluctuate as they see fit throughout your stay. Before moving out you usually only have to give 15-30 days' notice with a periodic lease.
