Short term leases are not generally offered. Most apartments in Tallahassee require a 9 or 12 month lease. However, if you sign a lease and later need to move before the lease is up you can sublease your apartment to another student. With so many students in town it is usually pretty easy to find some one to sublease through social media sites or by word of mouth through friends and co-workers. Do make sure you check with your communities leasing office to make sure they allow subleasing.
