Nearly all Tallahassee apartments require a move in deposit, which is usually fully refundable if there is no damage to the unit. Each FAMU apartment will have different deposit policies. There may be a $25-$50 application fee which goes towards the cost of a credit or background check. Most communities require a full months rent as a deposit. Poor credit, poor rental history, or pets may require higher deposit fees. Occasionally pet deposits will be nonrefundable. Make sure you talk to the office before forking over the deposit to make sure you understand the requirements for deposit refunds.
