Tamiera Vandegrift was born in Philadelphia but spent most of her life in Florida. She has lived just about everywhere, from the bustling city of Tampa to the remote town of Brooksville to the capital city of Tallahassee. From the moment she stepped foot on the Florida State University campus and caught glimpse of Tallahassee's rustic charm, she knew that she had found her home. She graduated with honors, having earned a double degree in English and digital media production. She is also a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
Her favorite part of living in Tallahassee is the eclectic culture and wide variety of places to live, from cute duplexes to modern apartments. She has lived in almost every dorm at FSU and many of the apartment communities in the surrounding area. Her favorite apartment that she has lived in so far was Stadium Centre. Tamiera loved this community's location in College Town and its proximity to the artsy part of Tallahassee, not to mention the many fun, unique dining spots nearby!
Outside of work, Tamiera loves creative writing, movies, spoken word poetry, volunteering, and spending time in nature.
