From dance and yoga to mixed martial arts, Tallahassee has every type of group fitness class you could possibly ask for.

Campus Recreation

Students at Florida State University can take group fitness classes with Campus Recreation. The university offers a wide range of classes to students and others who pay for their memberships. For more information about their schedule and the variety of classes you can take, be sure to look at their website. Currently, their group fitness courses are offered over Zoom, which makes for a covid-safe option. It is expected that they will have some in-person classes in the spring, but specific details are not currently available. Also, keep in mind that there are many Tallahassee apartments for students, making the commute for in-person classes just a distance away.

Drip Drop Fitness

If you'd prefer to attend an in-person group fitness class, there are other options available in the southwest Tallahassee area. Drip Drop Fitness offers Tallahassee women cardio and total body workouts in the form of dance and pilates classes. Grab a mat and a mask and get your sweat on. If you're searching for a short workout, Drip Drop Fitness leads a thirty-minute group class for those days when you just want to cram in a workout during your lunch break. If that's not your style, they also have classes that last a full hour for a more in-depth session.

Train. Fight. Win.

Are you interested in learning self-defense techniques? Train. Fight. Win. provides group classes in several kinds of martial arts. Located in southeast Tallahassee, it's relatively close to FSU's campus. Among the classes offered are judo, wrestling, grappling, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and boxing. Get in shape and develop important self-defense skills at the same time. With a free first day, you can take as many classes offered to test the waters and see if you'd like a membership.

Goat House Farm

If you're looking for a unique fitness experience, Goat House Farm offers a yoga class. It sounds completely normal until you discover that you are doing yoga with goats. All goat yoga classes are led by registered yoga teachers and last one hour. Once you have completed the session, you can stay for a while and spend time with the goats. This is an excellent option for simultaneously getting fit and spending time in nature. Students with a valid student I.D. get ten percent off of the originally $25 ticket.

We hope there's something on this list that strikes your fancy to reach your fitness goals with so many options to choose from.
