Where can I go off campus to find a quiet place to study?

The city of Tallahassee is a student friendly zone. Whether you choose to student in or on campus, is up to you. However, the city provides numerous spots where you can grab your book, take a seat and have a serene read. If you enjoy the outdoors and Florida’s finest weather, I suggest inhabiting one of Tallahassee’s handfuls of parks. Lake Ella is just south of Tharpe Street, which is only a few miles from the Community College and your TCC apartment. This twelve-acre tranquil paradise was once used for cattle but is now popularly known for recreation. The park offers picnic shelters and walking trails. Take a seat in a shaded spot under the tree and study for your finals while soaking up the view of the lake! Lake Talquin is another park just near TCC, between Leon County and south of I-10. This area is known to hosts the crew club’s practices, include canoeing, lessons. This is the perfect place to study and take a break from the books at the same time!
