The Abby captures that modern neighborhood feeling.

Renowned for its historical attributes, Tallahassee has built a longstanding empire based on its rural roots. Although Tallahassee captures Southern civility in a small town America feel, the expanding historic city has invited a more modern appeal into its town.

In between Tallahassee's rolling hills and beds of canopy trees, lays a modern appeal of living. Tallahassee's Midtown district has gone from underground indie to a popularized neighborhood almost over night. Midtown, Tallahassee derives its name from just that-being strategically located in the middle of the city. Just a few blocks from downtown and the University areas, this district is celebrated for its energetic, alluring and rural-chic atmosphere.

Although Tallahassee's substantial ingredient of South Charm is embedded throughout Midtown, the district has evolved into more of a mini metropolitan neighborhood. Unlike most neighborhoods in the Capital city, Midtown is warmed with convenience and entertainment. Tallahassee apartments in this community are short walks to wineries, vintage boutiques, coffee shops, and bakeries. Lafayette Park is a short drive from town allowing residents to escape into a collection of rural enjoyment.

If you are searching for cultured nightlife and friendly hangouts, Midtown may be the perfect neighborhood to live in! Apartments near Tallahassee throughout this area are practically neighbor's with some of the town's most popular bars, such as the Midtown Filling Station.

Midtown has attracted the like of many students, young professionals and graduates. Although there is a fine distinction in this town from the Southeast college area of the city, Midtown is still famed for its playful and free spirited environment. However, Midtown has also drawn in a fair amount of families as well.

The Midtown district is surrounded by some of Tallahassee's most reputable neighborhoods such as Los Robles gates (one of Tallahassee's first neighborhoods)! These charming suburban neighborhoods enclose the Midtown district increasing the popularization of younger families moving to the area.

If you are searching for an urban lifestyle within the skirts of the Capital city, Midtown may be just what you are looking for. However, Tallahassee apartments in this area may come with a price. Most units in this area are newer and more upscale as a result of the recent renovation and expansion to the area. This district is in high demand when it comes to rentals and may even be slightly competitive when it comes to landing a fantastic new home. If this may deter you from living in this area, there are ways to get around it.

In order to still be able to enjoy the likes of Midtown on a strict budget, I would advice you to look for communities right outside of the district. Many Midtown loving students and professions tend to settle down within the boundaries of Thomasville. Although this area may be a bit older and calmer than the newly built properties inside Midtown, it is within walking distance or a very short drive to the district. This way, you can still enjoy the benefits of the midtown district while paying a more humble rental amount each month.
