What are some fun and affordable activities to do with other college students near FSU apartments?

It seems like almost everything fun nowadays requires some form of commitment, whether it's money, time, or a short commute to a location close to your FSU apartment. If you live in an apartment near public transportation, it can make getting around the Tallahassee area a lot easier. When you want to go out and socialize with other people your age and spend time with your friends, costly activities can restrict who can come and participate. Whether it's you or another person in the group that's watching their finances, it can seem impossible to do fun things on a budget.

Luckily, around the Tallahassee area, near Florida State University, there are student-friendly activities that you can afford to participate in without breaking the bank.

Good Ole Fashion Fun at Apartments Near FSU

When I think of fun, I think of games that I used to play when I was a kid. I vividly remember begging my mother to go to the arcade and play games, which wasn't always successful. If you are looking for a place close to apartments near FSU to race go-karts, play laser tag, use some tickets to play arcade games, or test your aim with a round of mini-golfing, Fun Station is a great place to visit. They offer daily specials and sometimes have group deals on Groupon.

If you are feeling more spontaneous and adventurous, Tomahawks 51 Axe Throwing, can be something you and a group of people do during the day or even during the night. Due to its convenient proximity to the main Florida State University campus, it only takes 2 minutes in a car to get there. If you live in an apartment within walking distance to the FSU campus, it is only a 6-minute walk.

Decide on Classic Pass Time Activities Near FSU Apartments

If you live in a 4-bedroom apartment near FSU, you might be able to go to the local AMC Tallahassee 20 and pay to watch movies with your roommates. If you are an FSU student, the Askew Student Life Center has a schedule on their website to display which movies they are playing and at what times they are showing them. If you bring your FSU ID card, you can watch movies for free. All non-FSU students have to pay $6 to see a movie.

Going to the beach can be a great way to spend time with your friends and roommates. One place I love going to is St. George island. It has a beautiful strip of beaches and the restaurants in town serve great seafood for affordable prices. The only downside to traveling to the island is that it takes about an hour and 45 minutes to get there from the main FSU campus.

If you do decide to take the trip away from your apartment near FSU, I suggest you go with multiple friends, make a trip out of it by spending a few hours at the beach, get some lunch or dinner before heading home, and split the gas prices between everyone. Also, I suggest taking one car if possible because, depending on what time of the year you go, it can get pretty busy, and parking can be harder to find.
