I'm a student with a family, what does the TCC area have to offer my kids?

Although, living on campus or living in a student housing community may not be fit for kids, there are areas close to TCC that your children can call home. The Northeast area of Tallahassee is an older, more established residential area. Many families have nicely nestled in this TCC apartment area. The neighborhood is surrounded by parks, overgrown trees and is not too far from campus. While looking for activities to do near campus, you'll find that Tallahassee has several different learning integrated activities in its city. Try taking your child to a museum. Mary Brogan Museum of Art Sciences allows children to take a hands-on approach to learn about topics such as beehives, the ecosystem and the Titanic. The museum also includes an IMAX theatre and a planetarium that will transport your children into the world of outer space. There are no shortages of parks throughout the city of Tallahassee. You children will love to explore the nature surrounding Lakes Ella and Lafayatte. Tom Brown Park includes picnic tables for an enjoyable outside lunch and soccer fields, sidewalks to ride your bike on and two different playgrounds. For the adventurers at heart, take you kid to the Fun Station. Here, they can hit the batting cages, ride go-carts or play some laser tag!
