Where can I go canoeing or kayaking around my Tallahassee Community College apartment?

REZ LAKEFRONT PARK
The park is located in southwest Tallahassee is open to Florida State University students and the general public. Canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards are available to rent, where you can explore Lake Bradford or one of the three adjoining lakes.

ALFRED B. MACLAY GARDENS STATE PARK
On the other side of town in northeast Tallahassee, you will find this popular state park to paddle on Lake Hall. You can bring your own canoe or kayak, and they have a limited number of kayaks for rent.

This location thirty minutes south of Tallahassee Community College on the Wakulla River offers many options for rentals of canoes and kayaks to fit your group. They even provide eco-tours with professional guides and guided kayak fishing trips.

Located thirty minutes south of Tallahassee in the community of St Marks, adjacent to St Mark's National Wildlife Refuge, you can explore Florida's "Forgotten Coast" by kayak. They also offer guided tours and fishing trips.

Bear Paw Adventures is in Marianna, an hour west of your TCC apartment along I-10 West if you are looking for a full-day adventure. They offer canoe, kayak, and tube rentals to enjoy your time on the Chipola River and Spring Creek.

SUWANNEE RIVER CANOE RENTAL
Take a trip down the famous Suwannee River, the river mentioned in Florida's official state song, located an hour east of Tallahassee along I-10 East in Live Oak. Rentals for canoes and kayaks are available here and for overnight trips.

ECONFINA RIVER STATE PARK
This park offers a freshwater and saltwater experience about an hour southeast in the Florida big bend area. Paddle the Econfina River as it empties into the Gulf of Mexico. The park includes a picnic area and boat ramp to launch your canoe or kayak.
