Tally Strip
Head towards College Town and you'll land in the up-and-coming area known as the Tally Strip. Visit Ken's World Famous Friendly Tavern, open since 1966, and join their Mug Holders club for daily deep discounts. The Public House is an Irish-style pub with pool tables and darts, and an awesome selection of live DJs each week. Red Rocks is a typical Tally scene bar with full liquor, daily drink specials, and live music. TENN Nightclub and Lounge has some of the country's best electronic music DJs and is a marvelous place to meet fun people who like to dance. The Tally Strip also has regular block parties – with booze, bands, and great times, these outdoor events are not to be missed!
Fancy Schmancy
If you have a special occasion coming up or want to take your date somewhere special, Tallahassee has that too. Super close to Doak Campbell Stadium, the Recess is a 5,000 square foot venue with a rooftop bar, VIP nightclub, and a swimming pool. Level 8 Lounge on North Monroe Street is a chic place to hang and features live music, skyline views of Downtown Tallahassee, and a delectable tapas menu. It's located at the Hotel Duval, one of Tally's poshest places to stay. Everyone loves a dive bar, and Tally sure has its share of those. The Palace Saloon in Southeast Tallahassee is a Tallahassee tradition, and they are well-known for their stiff pours and cheap pitchers. Waterworks is a festive tiki-themed bar with a fun lunch menu and live DJs at night. Andrew's Downtown is a favorite, with huge TVs, a relaxed outdoor patio, and a totally affordable menu of pub favorites.
